		Status for financial adjustments at Tech On 26 April, relevant departments at Tech informed employees about the remaining cutbacks and the number of jobs to be lost after implementation of the preventive measures.>>>

		Brightspace is now open AU’s new learning platform Brightspace is now accessible for teaching staff and course administrators, and registration for Brightspace workshops is open. During the coming months, teaching staff will be able to set up the courses they are teaching in autumn.>>>

		The first teachers have tested Brightspace: “It was a pretty easy transition” Aarhus University is switching from Blackboard to Brightspace. A number of teachers from the Faculty of Technical Sciences have tested the new learning management system in a pilot project. In the following, two teachers present their experiences, and provide tips on how to get started on Brightspace.>>>

		Nat and Tech will not be relocating to Kasernen after all The planned relocation of a variety of academic activities as well as the joint Nat-Tech administrative centre to Kasernen i Aarhus will not take place. The plan is not financially viable. Arts is now reviewing its plan with regard to Katrinebjerg, where the faculty was intending to consolidate some of its activities.>>>

However, the challenges are often the same, and cooperation among providers of science-based policy advice could increase quality. That was one of the take home messages from the first European seminar on science-based policy advice in the field of agriculture and environment.>>>

		AU’s supplementary self-testing sites AU’s supplementary self-testing sites are open to all employees and students at the university. The test sites are a supplement to the existing public test sites.>>>

		Before you get a self-test at AU, you need to download the Kviktest app Wednesday 28 April you will need to use the Kviktest app when you take a supervised self-test at AU. The app will allow you to register your test result quickly and securely on your own smartphone. Supervisors at the test sites will assist you in using the app.>>>

		Registration for the 2021 DHL Relay Race now open Aarhus University will once again participate in the DHL Relay Race, and the registration is now open for all employees. It’s time to dust off your trainers and mark your calendar for a cosy evening with your colleagues.>>>

		New professor sees plenty of opportunities for women to power the green transition Selin Kara is a new professor at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering at Aarhus University, where her research aims at using natural processes as a substitute for one of the world's most polluting industries. She wants to see more women in engineering and other STEM programmes, but there is a lack of role models, she says.>>>

		DKK 30 million for research into the foods of the future Professor Milena Corredig from the Department of Food Science at Aarhus University will receive a grant of DKK 30 million from the VILLUM FOUNDATION. The grant will be used for research within future food processes.>>>

		Can we produce nutritional and sustainable milk in the laboratory? Aarhus University in Foulum leads a new and exciting project which is to form the basis for producing sustainable milk in the laboratory as an alternative to cow’s milk. The project is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.>>>

		Denmark's largest battery - one step closer to storing green power in stones The concept of storing renewable energy in stones has come one step closer to realisation with the construction of the GridScale demonstration plant. The plant will be the largest electricity storage facility in Denmark, with a capacity of 10 MWh. The project is being funded by the Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP) under the Danish Energy Agency.>>>
