Apply for funding from AUFF
In 2022, Aarhus University Research Foundation will again be funding research projects, staff and students. Find out more about your options for applying for funding here.
AUFF Recruitment Grants (prev. AUFF Starting Grants)
You can apply for an AUFF Recruitment Grant in negotiation situations in which an offer of seed money is essential to ensure the appointment of a particularly attractive assistant professor, associate professor or professor. Therefore, there are no ordinary rounds of applications in 2022. Instead, funding can be applied for and replies given by agreement as required. The budget is DKK 40 million.
AUFF NOVA
The purpose of AUFF NOVA is to stimulate bold and innovative high-quality research projects. These projects will usually find it difficult to get funding from other sources. The budget is DKK 50 million, and a full call for proposals will be published in the first six months of 2022.
Flexible PhD courses
The funds are aimed at flexible PhD courses, including 3+5, 4+4 and the research year, etc. The budget is DKK 15 million, which is distributed between the five faculties at the university.
Publication support
You can apply for funding from this pool for ground-breaking publications aimed at the most prestigious international publication channels. The budget is DKK 2.5 million, and it is expected that calls for proposals will be issued in 2022, with deadlines in February and September.
International mobility
The pool of DKK 5 million is targeted at international activities involving both visiting researchers and the university's own researchers looking to work abroad. A call for proposals will be published in spring 2022.
Funding to support PhD courses, research group meetings, workshops and summer camps at Sandbjerg Estate
The purpose is to fund PhD courses, research group meetings, workshops and summer camps at Sandbjerg Estate. This will reduce course participants' own payments. The budget is DKK 2.5 million, and applications are received on an ongoing basis.
Research stay at Møllehuset and Husumgade
This pool is always available for applications from researchers who would like a scholarship stay at Møllehuset near Sandbjerg Estate or in the foundation's apartment in Husumgade in Copenhagen.
Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies
AUFF will continue to support the operation of the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies.
