Another quality seal for Tech’s quality management system
Tech’s quality management system in science-based advice, which ensures documentation, transparency, and arm’s length to stakeholders and clients, is audited annually by an external auditor. The annual audit has just been completed with few and positive remarks.
At a time when Tech’s research-based advisory seem to be in the spotlight more than ever, it is reassuring to have confirmation that the advisory services are built on a solid foundation with a comprehensive and well-functioning quality management system. An external auditor from the accredited certification body FORCE Certification has just completed the annual surveillance audit of the system based on samples from several departments:
“Tech’s quality management system works, also when we are occasionally in the spotlight, as we see right now with the bottom trawling report. In that case, the system ensured peer review and also quality assurance from DCE before the report was published,” says Ole Hertel, Tech’s Vice-Dean for public sector consultancy and business collaboration. He continues:
“The recently conducted external audit is a confirmation that we have a well-functioning quality management system and that the staff have embraced the system and work systematically to ensure the quality of our science-based advisory and other reports that come from Tech.”
The external auditor highlights in the report, among other things, the staff’s good knowledge of relevant quality management processes in relation to individual task solutions and the requirement that all experienced staff must have completed the public sector service course by 2027 as positive.
