News about recruitment: A campaign concept under development and a well-attended agriculture show

The cross-disciplinary task force that has been working on recruitment efforts at AU Viborg since the spring, has submitted their work to Aarhus University's new external agency Envision. The agency is expected to have a proposal for the final campaign concept ready by September. Additional recruitment initiatives are being prepared elsewhere in the organisation.

In early spring, a task force was set up with representatives from the faculty, the student body and the academic environments at FOOD, AGRO, and ANIVET. The aim of the task force was to provide input for the campaign that will be launched this autumn. The goal of the campaign is to attract students to the three new degree programmes at AU Viborg. The results of the task force’s efforts have now been submitted to the external agency Envision. Over the summer and early autumn, the agency will develop the content for the final campaign concept. The plan is to launch the recruitment campaign for AU Viborg in October, a time when most other programmes take a break from advertising themselves. Advertising usually kicks into high gear around the application deadlines for quota 2 and quota 1.

The campaign concept will also provide the framework for the student-oriented communication that the faculty and departments will continue to work on going forward. The campaign will thereby also help establish a common thread and recognisability in the narrative about AU Viborg that is communicated to potential students.

A well-attended agriculture show with plenty of good chats

From 29 June to 1 July, a delegation from the degree programme in animal science attended the agriculture show in Herning. The group had a stand at the event to spread the word about AU Viborg and its coming degree programmes. Interested attendees could, among other things, participate in a competition, taste muffins made with mealworms and learn about the new degree programmes at AU Viborg. The stand was very popular and had many visits from potential students and other age groups.
