News about the study programmes: The academic regulations have been approved

The academic regulations for AU Viborg's three new study programmes have now been approved. This marks the beginning of the extensive task of transforming the academic regulations into relevant teaching.

Last week, the academic regulations for the three new study programmes at AU Viborg were formally approved by the Board of Studies of Technical Sciences. This signifies that the academic environments can now initiate the process of moving from course descriptions to concrete teaching plans, including the organisation of practical exercises and project work, which will constitute a significant part of the teaching at AU Viborg.

Simultaneously, CED (AU's Centre for Educational Development) is working intensively to complete the competency development that will equip the teaching staff of the new programmes with the necessary tools to teach according to the specific principles that will characterize the teaching at the three new study programmes.

The keywords here are coherence and progression from the student's perspective, integration of project elements and practical experiences from the very first semester, integration of supporting subjects and core subjects, and most importantly, a close connection to the research environment at AU Viborg.

The heads of degree programmes and courses in the three study programmes will play a crucial role in the upcoming work. Additionally, students from the current Agrobiology program will be involved to enhance the quality of the work.

The competency development will be conducted throughout the autumn and the coming spring.
