Visibility starts with an up-to-date Pure profile – The Royal Danish Library is ready to help

Still not quite there with your Pure profile? The Royal Danish Library provides advice and guidance to departments and other units that want to put a special focus on these important research profiles.

Your Pure profile is often the first thing that appears when someone Googles your name. But that’s just one of the reasons why it’s worth spending some time polishing your profile so that the content is current and truly reflects your work.

“Your Pure profile is essentially your professional persona as a researcher. And if you’re applying for funding, seeking collaborations or perhaps a position somewhere, it’s crucial to make sure that what’s on your profile matches the story you want to tell,” says Anne Korsgaard Kjeldahl, AU Pure system administrator at the Royal Danish Library. She continues:

“The better the core data in Pure, the more we can do for researchers through the automated processes we manage – for example, integration with systems like ORCID and Scopus. And Pure isn’t just for publications. If you’re active at conferences, producing podcasts or writing science books for children, Pure is a great place to make that visible.”

Anne Korsgaard Kjeldahl and her colleague Anna Stegger Gemzøe also run workshops for university researchers to help them make the most of what Pure has to offer – most recently at the Department of Agroecology, where 140 participants took part in an online session.

“We offer to come out at the relevant organisational level and teach researchers how, with very little effort, they can make themselves more visible. Of course, we have some standard points we always cover, but beyond that we tailor the session to the specific needs of the audience,” says Anne Korsgaard Kjeldahl.

A Pure session from the Royal Danish Library is free to attend – the only requirement is that you gather a group of participants. These can be researchers or administrative staff who support researchers with Pure.
