Tech will be visible at Naturmødet 2025

Aarhus University – and especially Tech – will be particularly visible at this year's Naturmødet in Hirtshals. Over the past six months, a working group with representatives from four Tech departments, DCE, and the Department of Biology has collaborated to create a programme that, through lectures, debates, workshops, and interactive activities, highlights research in climate, nature, biodiversity, and sustainability.

Under the joint AU banner, the stand will be an inspiring meeting place with presentations, debates, exhibitions, conversations, and activities on a wide range of topics such as mining in Greenland, wolves and porpoises, nature-based solutions, Masseeksperimentet, sustainable livestock production, and the new study programmes at AU Viborg.

"Biodiversity, climate, and nature are high on the political agenda, especially in light of the green tripartite agreement. Naturmødet is an excellent opportunity to showcase the breadth of Tech's research, presenting a comprehensive take on the latest knowledge and possible solutions. Thanks to all the colleagues who have put in tremendous effort to get the joint stand up and running," says Ole Hertel, Tech's Vice-Dean for public sector consultancy and business collaboration.

In addition to the many events at the joint AU stand, colleagues from Aarhus University are the main organisers of fifteen presentations with academic dissemination on the four main stages: Thunderdome, Life, Learn, and Roots.

Naturmødet will take place in Hirtshals from 22nd to 24th May 2025.
