Tech’s quality management system earns ISO recognition once again
At a time when science based advice is high on the public agenda, it is worth celebrating that Tech’s ISO-certified quality management system has just been re-certified for the second time since it was first certified in 2020. This comes as no surprise to Ole Hertel, Vice-Dean for public sector consultancy at Tech.
It was only a few days ago that tractors were driving around the University Park in protest against the science based advice Aarhus University has provided in connection with the development of the new fertiliser legislation. At a time when many people are scrutinising our research closely, we can take pride in the fact that our ISO-certified quality management system has once again successfully passed its re-certification audit. This is according to Ole Hertel, Tech’s Vice-Dean for public sector consultancy and business collaboration.
“I certainly did not expect any other outcome, but that does not mean we should not take the opportunity to celebrate that we have a well-functioning quality management system and that we continue to maintain our ISO certification. It should also be said that any quality management system ultimately depends on the people who use it, so I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the staff who have embraced the system and apply its principles in their work every single day.”
Following the audit, the auditor highlighted, among other things, the strong focus on customer satisfaction and the high standard of documentation in the cases reviewed during the audit. The auditor also noted that the science based advice course provides comprehensive and thorough training in quality management within projects.
Tech’s quality management system was first certified to ISO 9001 in 2020 and has been audited annually ever since. The more comprehensive re-certification audit takes place every three years. Read more about the quality management system.
