Do you need funding for a new health-tech project?
Funding is now available if you have a strong idea for technical solutions that can help address healthcare challenges and improve patient care. The new innovation fund is established by the Faculties of Health and Technical Sciences and is aimed at cross-faculty collaborations.
Through the newly established research network, the Health-Tech Network, the two faculties are making a new funding scheme – the Collaborative Health-Tech Call – available to researchers with strong ideas for collaborative projects that can lead to new health technology solutions.
This is an open call, and you can apply for up to DKK 200,000 per research project, provided that the project spans both faculties.
The application deadline is 22 February 2026.
“We want to encourage interdisciplinary collaborations with an innovation focus between faculties and between clinical and basic science researchers, engineers and companies. When we combine our different areas of expertise, it can lead to new breakthroughs in health technology that benefit health sciences and strengthen patient care,” says Anne-Mette Hvas, Dean at Health, and continues:
“That is why we have established an entirely new network funding scheme, which we hope can serve as the financial engine needed to turn ideas into research collaborations.”
At Tech, Mikael Bergholz Knudsen, Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, welcomes the many opportunities offered by the new innovation fund:
“The new fund that we have established together with Health, gives our researchers the best possible conditions for exploring new opportunities for collaboration across our two faculties. I am convinced that the forthcoming joint projects will contribute to the development of new, innovative health‑technology solutions, and I look forward to following the work.”
Apply for the Collaborative Health-Tech Call and read more about the criteria via the online application form on the Faculty of Health’s website.
In the application form, you can also sign up for membership of the Health-Tech Network.
