Collaboration, the green and digital transition, and impact are key themes as the faculty leadership sets the direction through Tech 2030. The starting point is everything we have achieved since Tech became an independent faculty in 2020, combined with a strong ambition to contribute to increased resilience in a changing world.
“We excel at many things at Tech: research with direct impact, internal and external collaboration, top‑quality education and strong advisory services. Our research areas are more relevant than ever, and we have a clear responsibility to work even more innovatively and mission‑oriented to support the development of a resilient Europe,” says Brian Vinter, Vice‑Dean for Research at Tech.
Tech 2030 once again underscores the fact that collaboration is essential when developing solutions to some of society’s greatest challenges.
“No one can solve the major challenges alone, which is why we are fully committed to strengthening the development of a mission‑oriented and collaborative culture within our faculty, enabling us to contribute to a sustainable and resilient society. This applies both to our staff and our students,” says Eskild Holm Nielsen, Dean of Tech.
The Tech 2030 ambition is made concrete through four strategic focal points, each supported by an annual set of action plans. These plans are developed by the faculty leadership and form a central step in implementing Tech 2030.
“With the annual action plans, we ensure continuous focus on the direction we have set for the faculty. They outline specific actions we can work with, allowing us to steadily increase our impact on society—whether through exceptional research, the best and most relevant degree programmes, or a collaborative culture within our own organisation,” says Brian Vinter.
