Tech has submitted consultation response to new bus routes at AU Viborg

From 8 to 21 January, Midttrafik's new timetables were submitted for consultation, including the bus routes to and from AU Viborg. Tech has submitted a consultation response calling for reliable and well-planned connections to AU Viborg.

On 30 June, Midttrafik’s new timetables will enter into force. Almost two months later, up to 90 new students will arrive at AU Viborg for the first time. Once again this stresses the need for good bus connections to and from Denmark's green campus. Consequently, Tech has submitted a consultation response to Midttrafik in connection with the new timetables on behalf of the future students in particular.

"It's crucial that both our future students and employees find it easy to get to and from AU Viborg. Among other things, we’ve therefore requested more departures with route 750 in the middle of the day and an extra stop at the main entrance for route 62. We're excited to see what Midttrafik, Central Denmark Region and Viborg Municipality will decide. But we generally experience great responsiveness and a high degree of willingness to cooperate on our new degree programmes and the associated study environment, so I'm very confident," says Finn Borchsenius, Tech's vice-dean for education.

At AU Viborg, we have organised teaching for the future students so that it fits with the buses to and from AU Viborg as far as possible. Teaching takes place in blocks, with a morning block from around 8:00 to 11:30 and an afternoon block from around 12:30 to 16:00.

The consultation period for the upcoming bus timetables ended on 21 January. Midttrafik expects the final timetables to be published on midttrafik.dk in May.
